We work all over Southern California including the Santa Barbara and San Francisco areas for Mexican Paver Restoration, Refinishing, and Installation. Standard stripping, cleaning, and resealing of Mexican Pavers starts at $4.50/ft to $5.50/sq. ft. If there are alot of coats of sealer or a particularly hard to remove sealer was applied then we do charge more, mostly becuase the stripper material and the labor are the biggest part of the job. We also custom stain Saltillo tiles and we can match new installations to existing Saltillo tile and we offer high polish finishes as well as low sheen finishes.

My name is Will Arnzen and I am a licensed tile contractor and tile installer with 15 years of experience installing, staining, and refinishing (stripping, cleaning, and sealing) flagstone pavers, Mexican Saltillo tile pavers, terra cotta tile, quartzite tiles and pavers, and slate tiles. Working on tile installations and refinishing in Los Angeles, Santa Barbara, and San Diego, cA.
For the tile installations we use the top setting, grouting, and sealing materials. Natural Stone and Saltillo tiles are more difficult to install than standard porcelain and ceramic because they are more porous and can react differently with water issues. We do our best to make sure that you have a beautiful, long lasting, and easy to maintain tile installation.
For the refinishing and restoration process all of the work is meticulously done by hand and we pay as much attention to taping off baseboards, cabinets, and appliances so there are no problems. And we also make sure to get the grout just as clean as the tiles. Machines cannot dig into the grout joints to get them clean. And sometimes with too much aggessive cleaning by a machine you can sand off the wear layer and the Saltillo tile is then beyond repair.
Alot of the problems with these Pavers are that they are porous and if enough coats of a proper sealer are not used they can turn old, dark, and dirty with a white chalky residue after a year or two.
We can give you your old floor back and we seal the tile 5-6 times to make sure that it will maintain its beautiful look with minimal maintenance.
